I’m a copy consultant and tone of voice expert based in Glasgow, and I called my business Lucy Sweet Writes because I write. A LOT.

I’ve been a professional writer for 30 years, and I have the dry eyeballs and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome to prove it. I started as a gig reviewer for Melody Maker in the 90s, and since then I’ve been a journalist, columnist, author and -for the past 17 years - a copywriter.

I’ve worked for charities, food and drink brands, restaurants, mobile phone providers, engineers, architects, colleges and in the automotive sector.

As if THAT wasn’t enough, I’m also the creator of a critically-acclaimed Substack newsletter called The Lucyverse.
